Artificial intelligence (AI) has moved beyond the hype and now many companies are implementing AI to a greater extent. According to Gartner, companies are adopting AI quickly and implementation has grown 270 percent in the last four years. For example, Starbucks brews up personal, seamless connections with customers by implementing AI chatbots and other machine learning algorithms. Another big retailer using AI is Sephora, which uses its innovation lab to experiment with AI/machine learning algorithms, natural language processing, and computer vision. This approach helps Sephora create a sophisticated retail omni channel strategy that bridges the gap between its online and in-store experiences.
Understanding the benefits and challenges of AI is crucial to applying AI properly in your company or strategy. This workshop will help students understand, identify, and apply artificial intelligence strategies and methods to use in both business and marketing. The AI strategies and methods will help you increase revenue growth, capture deep data insights about your customers, boost brand awareness, increase efficiency, reduce costs or marketing spend, and provide a far superior personalized customer experience. You will learn about the real value in using AI for your next marketing strategy or campaign.
By the end of this workshop students will be able to:
- Identify three strategic components to a solid AI strategy.
- Build a lasting AI strategy that you can easily implement into their company or startup.
- Define AI methods and solutions that companies are currently using.
- Identify four major challenges to using AI and how to overcome them.
- Build an AI privacy and ethics strategy to safeguard your data and customer relationships.
This will be an interactive session with activities and class participation. Food and beverages will be provided. Students should bring a laptop or writing pad.
Ana Valdes is a seasoned instructor and marketing leader with over 15 years of experience working with fortune 500 companies. Ana teaches with General Assembly digital marketing and technology workshops. She is passionate about learning and development and sharing her experience and knowledge about advanced technologies in marketing. Ana has worked with leading companies such as NASA, Whirlpool, American Red Cross, K&L Gates LLP, GW Medical School, and many more. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from University of Miami and has taken several instructional design and training courses along with Python programming and machine learning courses from New York University. When Ana isn’t busy with teaching or developing marketing strategies, she enjoys writing children’s stories and illustrating imaginary characters. Ana works and resides in New York City.
